About

Forgotten Sports Heroes is an ode to all of the players, coaches, fans, teams, and moments that have made history in their own special way — We may not always remember them, but we can always relive them.

The site focuses on articles, videos, interviews, and more with the goal of keeping the past alive for all sports fans to enjoy.

The Founder is Nick Meyer, whose sports articles have been published in the Detroit Free Press, Dallas Morning News, and on the front page of Yahoo! Sports among others.

A lifelong sports fan, Nick won a 2008 AP Michigan Sportswriting Award for his coverage on the winless (0-16) Detroit Lions, along with five other Free Press reporters, and was a Contributing Writer to the Detroit Red Wings’ 2008 Stanley Cup Championship book, Forever Hockeytown.
