Joe Montana takes the snap from under center, rolls to his right against a host of pursuing Dallas Cowboys defenders, and lets loose a pass at the most impossible moment and the most impossible angle.
Dwight Clark leaps up and brings in the catch, spikes the ball and chaos ensues.
What unfolded in Joe Burrow’s first playoff start wasn’t the same type of play in terms of its clutchness, but it did conjure up memories of Montana’s signature moment.
The play, a Burrow TD pass to Tyler Boyd in the second quarter, just might remind you of Montana to Clark.
In it, Burrow evades the rush, rolls to his right, and lets a pass go to the back of the end zone.
Six points, and perhaps a landmark moment in Cincinnati Bengals history.

The throw came on the heels of a laser to C.J. Uzomah in the first quarter, marking the LSU product’s first playoff TD pass of his career.

The Bengals led Las Vegas by a score of 20-13 at halftime.
Derek Carr had 121 yards and a touchdown for the Raiders, while Burrow turned in 146 yards and two touchdowns for the Bengals.
