Penn state is now off to a 3-0 start to their 2022 season.

After opening the year with a tough first game that had some adversity, it seems the Nittany Lions have started to find their stride.

The issues which faced the team, including a banged up Sean Clifford at quarterback, seemed to be put to rest as the 4th-year senior was able to make plays outside of the pocket at Auburn.

In the opener against Purdue, Clifford was sporting a knee brace and was noticeably less mobile.

Today however, the starter boasted a 25 yard catch for a TD, 178 yards passing and also had a rushing TD, taking some hits along the way.

Clifford spoke with the SEC on CBS after a gritty performance that saw the Lions take home a big-time road win.

The end result was laying into an untested 2-0 Auburn squad by a big score of 41-12.

The offense was was a well oiled machine with a big contribution in the run game from Nick Singleton, as the top running back recruit in the country and five-star went for 124 yards with 2 touchdowns on 10 carries.

Kaytron Allen also added 2 more touchdowns on the ground, carrying 9 times for 52 yards.

The performance by Singleton was enough to catch the attention of Saquon Barkley a former Penn State and current NFL star:

This game was a statement on the road which has James Franklin’s team feeling like they can compete in a usually competitive Big Ten conference that has seen some instability.
