The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes have engaged in what is widely considered to be one of, if not the best, rivalries in all of sports as part of a series dating all the way back to 1897.

The rivalry has lost a lot of its luster in recent years as the Buckeyes have won eight straight in the series, and last year’s game was cancelled due to COVID-19.

One of the biggest reasons why “The Game” has had so much fanfare surrounding it over the years has been its traditions, and the time of year the game is played is among the biggest ones.

In 2021, the tradition of Ohio State and Michigan playing on the final week of the regular season will return, the Big Ten announced on Thursday as part of its revised conference schedule.

“The Game” will be played in Ann Arbor on November 27, if all goes according to plan.

This year, the Wolverines will host the Buckeyes in Ann Arbor, the site of their last victory in the series back in November 2011.

Michigan still leads the all-time series by a tally of 58-51-6. Ohio State vacated its 2010 win along with all of its wins on the season after news broke of a scandal involving players trading autographs and memorabilia for cash and tattoos.
