Mike Tyson released a bold statement aimed at fight fans Wednesday, less than three months out from a bright lights fight with Youtuber Jake Paul.

Tyson went shirtless for the photo-op. He showed off his rock solid 57-year-old physique.

“Yes I did go shirtless, to show you what you’re betting on,” Tyson wrote on the picture’s caption.

Tyson’s last exhibition bout was November 28, 2020 vs. boxing legend Roy Jones Jr. at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. Three ex-WBC champion judges scored it a draw. The news publication USA Today unofficially scored it 78-74 score for Tyson.

Tyson credited a psychedelic drug known as ‘toad venom’ for catalyzing his fitness prior to his last bout in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr.
“I took the medicine and the medicine told me to get into shape,” Tyson said, referencing 5-MeO-DMT, the toad-based drug.
“It really blew my mind. It told me to come back and start getting in shape.”
Tyson’s training regimen for Paul has included a 15 minute run on a treadmill daily. He’s also engaged in early training camp sparring sessions that he referred to as “disastrous.”
The celebrity icon and knockout king stated that he smoked marijuana before his matchup with Jones Jr. in 2020.
“It’s just who I am,” Tyson said. “It has no effect on me from a negative standpoint. It’s just what I do and how I am and how I’m going to die. There’s no explanation. There’s no beginning. There’s no end.”
According to USA Today, the Jones vs. Tyson matchup of two 50-plus year-old boxers generated over $80 million in pay-per-view revenue for a fight card priced at $49.99.
Tyson’s Legends Only League stated that the match recorded over 1.6 million pay-per-view buys, a number that the July 20 Tyson vs. Paul pay-per-view card is expected to dwarf.
